Subaru teases new, three-row Ascent for L.A Auto Show

Subaru has dropped a teaser of it’s upcoming, three-row crossover called the Ascent.

The Ascent is aimed at capturing the slice of consumers that outgrow their Forester, but perhaps find the Outback too tight. The teaser shot doesn’t reveal a lot, but it does tell us that it will be a more robust vehicle, judging by the contours.

Subaru has been enjoying an ascent – pun inteded – in recent sales. Their 71 consecutive months of yearly month-over-month growth in North America is a sure sign of it, and the introduction of a proper, three-row SUV certainly won’t hurt.

The Ascent will be built at Subaru’s plant in Lafayette, Indiana, which already builds just over 300,000 vehicles annually. With the Ascent, that figure is expected to crest over half a million.

We’ll follow up with more information on the all-new Subaru Ascent following its debut on November 28.
