The Power of Proximity
I was walking with a dear friend of mine from Greenwich Village to Chinatown where we were heading to meet up with and have dinner with a group of our friends.
In an effort to speak upon a topic that would help the walk pass quickly, our conversation fell upon the topic of love. How he had met his wife, which was a lovely story of a chance encounter gone right and a love that had bloomed over a great deal of time.
Then he turned the topic on me. How had I met my love?
I told him no, as of yet, there was no such woman in my life.
But there must be someone whom you are pursuing, some future prospect?
Well…yes. Actually yes. I told him there was one person but that she was not native to these parts, actually residing quite far away.
