1. For an easy hike on a gravel trail, Overlook Mountain in Woodstock provides an ideal hike. Near the top of the 4.6 mile round-trip trail are the ruins of the Overlook House Hotel, which hikers can explore and pass through on their way to the summit.
2. Located in the Adirondacks, Cascade Mountain avails hikers to a panoramic view of the Great Range. Cascade Mountain is a moderately difficult hike, but the easiest and shortest of the Adirondacks’ 46 peaks. When reaching the peak after the 4.8-mile journey, visitors can rest at nearby Draper’s Acres Campground.
