Touted prospect continues to hit in AAA, so when is he making it up to the Bigs?

Gleyber Torres arrived in New York by way of the great Yankees sell off of 2016. He was the prized trade piece that the Cubs sent in return for Aroldis Chapman. The Yankees started Torres in A+ after the trade where he only hit .254, the Yankees later sending him to the Arizona Fall League to get some extra work.

And that’s where the Gleyber infatuation began.

He lit up the AZFL, hitting a whooping .403 with three home runs and 11 RBIs. At only age 19, Torres took home the honors of AFZL MVP. He arrived in Spring Training the next year with all eyes on him but was sent to AA midway through camp.
